Little tidbits of life the last couple weeks!!!!

It has been a crazy last couple weeks.. and for some reason the word busy is not a word I like to use.. I think you are only as busy as you make yourself.. and to say you are so busy that you don't have time for family or other memory making things kinda goes against my grain!!! anyway you might say I have and issue I need to work on... and yup your right I do... not really something I wanna share tho....These past 2 months have been what some people would say busy but I like to think we are blessed.. yes there was a lot of work involved but I am blessed that I have the strength, and the ability to do my own work even with being pregnant and all...We had lots and lots of projects that got crossed off the list..  Painted the boys room, the nursery, the sunporch, a couple pieces of furniture, will share some pictures soon!!!!  that is one of my hobbies to paint and to decorate our home to make it truly a home we love!!!!  Did all my house cleaning in preparation for church here September 29, and the little one that is due in November.. did some canning and freezing...yup alittle crazy at times...but oh so Blessed!!!

So you could say I look forward to the day when our baby is due, just 9 weeks yet and in 2 weeks church will be past and most of the big projects will be checked off the list...I want to dig into some sewing and cropping and enjoy the Holidays...


2 weeks ago I did our applesauce.. I got 4 baskets done and seen that won't be enough so we got 4 more baskets.. and got 70 quarts and I think that will hold us over till next year, we will see!!!  the children love there applesauce and so do my hubby and I.. I had a really good helper that wanted to do it all, when she was asked to do an other chore after the applesauce was finish she said she don't feel like it.. and I said, but you where helping me so good with the applesauce.. to which she replied but that's not work!!!!!!!:)  really wonder what she thinks it is then....

Because to me this is work!!!!!!!

But I love my new place to do all this work!!!! I can clean up and leave everything for the next round...






Then came the first day off kindergarten for my little big helper.... and she was so excited and a tiny bit nervous to!!!

she seriously didn't no what to do with her nerves:)  love her!!!!!!!

the Girls..... they might fight, and try to be mean to each other but they truly do love each other.... the 2 oldest couldn't wait to have their younger sister at school!!!!! and where so excited for her!!!!! And the boys... well lets just say they are gonna miss her and will have to start playing there own little games without their leader!!!!!!

 I love to take them to school their first day and take them to their seat... her heart was beating so fast but I new she was just excited and ready to get the first day started...

so out the door this mama went leaving her in the hands of Miss Sadie... and I new she was in good hands..She made sure to tell  me she can ride the bus home with her sisters...  Don't no why it pulled at my heart strings alittle, but really that's how it should be!!!!!!!! so now with the 3 girls in school 2 days a week... that leaves me at home with the 2 crazy, loud, energetic, lovable little boys .... this is going to be a fun, challenging, school year for this Mama....

The lazy days of summer end and school begins..... which means earlier bed time,  (which I think I might like)  having a schedule again... lunches....and with this time of year brings pumpkins, hay rides, apple cider, cozy sweaters, and lots and lots of leaves on to blow or rake!!!!!!!!  and I cant believe I'm saying this.... but think I'm ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   shorter days, longer nites!!!  I could go on and on....We are so blessed to live in a land where we have 4 seasons.....  Summer is my favorite for sure, but spring and fall don't fall far behind.....:)


So we hand over first day of school yesterday and there was lots of excitement ...we tried to get them to bed at an earlier hour but the next morning they said they couldn't sleep they were to excited... and they were up at 6:30!!!!!!  and ready to go, I for one was not impressed, I am not a morning person but I no that has to change, with our baby due in 11 weeks I will have to get up at a decent time to get every thing done and the girls out the door by 8....  Malaina's first day is sept 10 and she is so excited..... 

 

can't you just see the excitement shining off them....  and they made sure to take a flower for their teacher...  Miss King  and Miss Fisher....  the are both wonderful and the girls love them...

 bubba said now it my turn.... cheeeessssssssse!!!!!!!

 they get on the bus at Dan and Orpha's drive.... we are so blessed that they can ride on the bus and it's not even our school district bus driver...there are  about 5 or 6 buses that go to faith high school and transfer children and take them to the schools they need to go and it just so happens that one of them go to Fair Haven......and there bus driver is the sweetest lady!!!!!   The morning walk with them is so good for us all and you no every one has to go, even the little guys!! was so cute the first morning I said to the girls lets pray as we walk up to the bus.. and the second morning both boys said Mom...  we have to pray!!!!  in a very bossy voice........

 and they are off!!!! Thank You Lord for keeping them safe, for Christian schools for our children!!! we truly are blessed!!!!!!

Last days of summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We truly did enjoy the last days of summer and looking back we made the most of a beautiful week!!!!!!!!!!!  we went to DUTCH WONDERLAND which was total excitement for the kids!!! they thought spiders mom was the best Grandma in the world for planning the day out with all the cousins...

HE was trying his hardest to get Maleah to hang out with him and take his hand and do rides with him....  he loves to hang out with her!!!!!!!



ICE CREAM!!!!  guess who ended up eating most of it!!!!

they went all out on the rides!!! Lyndi n Malaina went on every ride possible Annalisa was a little more reserved she said just looking at some of  the rides made her dizzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this prego mama got dizzy on the merry go round...round and round!!!!!!!

then we had tomatoes!!!!!!!!!!!!  and lots of helpers!!!  we made pizza sauce, fresh salsa, and tomato soup....and still have to do more pizza sauce.....it's amazing how much food it takes with a growing family....



 

 

 

And the best part of the whole week was when Ginger came to live with us!!! He even came in a moving truck!!!! to funny!!!!

 First time she got on his back... he thought he has open fields and took off well not right away , he was just doing a little trot until Annalisa couldn't hang on anymore then he took off.. up around the school with prego me running after him!!!! well not exactly..  I was running for all I had but a couple tales behind!!!! and Annalisa crying and yelling Ginger!!!  it had to be a sight!!! we finally caught up with him at the neighbors across the fields!!!!

she finally got the confident enough to do it on her own again with daddy by her side!!! then after a few more days she was putting his bridle on getting on his back by herself and riding around the yard!!!!!  lets just say!  I think she's in love!!!!!!


and then its back to school!!!!

REMINISCING!!!!!!

It's that time of year again!!!! Canning, Freezing, and every thing else on the To Do list before school starts...and before baby comes.....this mama getting really ready.... but that means it will be November and that is what I'm not ready for!!!!!!!!!  I have this long list of things that need to b done before then so I'm thinking I better stay at it for everything to get done... But I also really need to enjoy the last few days of summer with the children!!!!!!


This past week I got a few things off my list!!!! starting with early Monday morn I went for my corn, I got 220 ears to freeze, and 3 baskets of red haven peaches, I froze some and canned the rest.. and I did 37 jars of pickles, and 4 batches refrigerated pickles which my hubby loves.. so have to do more o those.. (note to self)  I was so thankful my mom came to help me Monday with my corn.. I thought I would be able to do it myself but on my way home from picking every thing up I stopped at Lee n Mary to see how her mom was doing and found myself saying I would bring supper that evening.... *yikes*  what did I just get myself into... but was so glad I did and everything worked out.. so made supper for 16 people at Lee's and since mom was here made some for them to and because my hubby was working out of town the kids and I went home with mom home and ate our supper with them... whew!!! it was a crazy day... but really rewarding at the same time...




here is my helper!!!! she somehow figures out what she can do to get her fingers in it....and surprisingly she can do a lot beings she is only 6... just gotta love her cheesy smile!!!!

she really wanted to use the cutter to.. but I said no!!:)

this was our set up this year and I loved it... since we remodeled and now have a barn with a rec room with my old kitchen out there,  and the best part of it!!! it's right outside the back door, connected to the deck....  love it!!!

 this little guy was being his crazy self....   I making rainbows he said...love him!!!!

 

 

and then it was on to pickles and peaches...  very morning Malaina would ask to get all the soft peaches so we could cut and peal, she really was serious about it!!!!!

 my other little helper guys....

 

and than sometimes they would actually go play.. and that another cool thing about the barn is I put all there toys out there and when I do an all day project like canning I do it in the barn and the kids can play right there beside me and my house is like I left it before I started...

 

 

 

so now it's on to the next projects on my list....
